Initial markets in medicine, nutraceuticals, and biofuel
Initially, we are focusing on low-quantity, high-value products typically associated with pharmaceuticals, such as the active ingredients in medicines. In parallel, we are exploring opportunities in nutraceuticals, which include food, flavor, and fragrance compounds. These markets share dynamics similar to pharmaceuticals but offer a faster time-to-market when producing naturally occurring compounds classified as Generally Recognized As Safe (GRAS), bypassing the need for FDA approval.
Additionally through multiple grants, the US Department of Energy has invested in the development of biofuels on our platform, specifically Isobutanol for Sustainable Aviation Fuel.
Medicine: Active pharmaceutical ingredients
Our approach to drug development and manufacturing is innovative. Traditional medicinal chemistry uses chemistry to increase diversity, resulting in libraries of compounds.
Currently there is no bio-based approach to make small molecule diversity quickly. The biology approach utilizing plants is slow and, while specific, plagued by contaminants, while the medicinal chemistry approach can be nonspecific and requires extensive screening.
By using exozymes, we bridge these worlds, combining the specificity of biology with the diversity of chemistry. Exozymes allow us to create a focused yet diverse array of small molecules quickly.

Nutraceuticals
Exozymes offer a transformative approach to producing nutraceuticals because they enable efficient, scalable, and sustainable production of bioactive compounds used in food, dietary supplements, and health-enhancing products.
With exozymes, it becomes feasible to produce rare or high-demand compounds like resveratrol (a powerful antioxidant), essential amino acids, or flavor precursors at industrial scales. This approach aligns perfectly with the growing consumer demand for clean-label, sustainable, and functional products in the health and wellness sector.
Biofuels: Sustainable Aviation Fuel
We are driving the future of renewable energy by providing a transformative approach to biofuel production, compared to existing methods of sustainable biofuels.
The ability of exozyme biosolutions to process diverse feedstocks with high yields, lower energy consumption, and reduced carbon footprint positions them as a critical technology for meeting the growing global demand for sustainable aviation fuel.
